An exceptional Arts & Crafts movement two part golden oak dresser dating to the early 20th Century.

The dresser is made of English oak and is very well made, solid and heavy.

It features a stepped top section with two small cabinets flanking open display shelves which are fairly shallow and can be used to display decorative plates. The cabinet doors have attractive stylised strap hinges and are lockable.

The pot-board base has turned supports and three very spacious drawers which are finished with brass drop handles. The two left drawers are lockable and the key is present.

It is an elegant and substantial piece which has been professionally restored
at some point in its life.

CONDITION

The dresser is in exceptionally good condition for its age.
At some point the base has been professionally restored with a replacement back board added, the drawers runners have been repaired and a wooden baton support added to the pot-board base underneath. There is some evidence of old woodworm holes to the underside of the base, these are long inactive.
The top small right hand cupboard door is slightly bowed and one of the strap hinges is slightly raised.
