This is a superb large country house bow fronted chest of drawers which dates to the 19th century.
Made of mahogany, oak and veneers it is a quality piece which is well made, solid and heavy.
The chest is fairly large and will provide an good amount of storage in any home, it is elegant and timeless and has a lot of character.
The bow front is fitted with five spacious drawers which are finished with brass escutcheons and turned wooden handles inset with mother of pearl. The drawers well and the interiors are in clean condition.
The chest is set on later turned feet and the wood has a polished finish which has a good sheen.
The top has been newly French Polished in our workshop.
CONDITION
The chest is generally in very good structural condition with various cosmetic marks of age and use and a few small areas of veneer loss.
The drawers run well and the interiors are in clean condition. The bottom drawer has a sliver of wood missing from the back left hand side.
It has an elegantly aged look and is generally in very good condition for its age.
