Large Dining Table with Black Base, upcycled from a billiards table

This is an unusual large table dating to the 19th century. The table began its life as a billiards table and would have once been much larger, at some point in time it was upcycled into a far more manageable size and cut down to create a dining or kitchen table.
The base is made of mahogany and mixed woods and is set on large turned baluster legs which are finished with screw out feet, allowing the table to be levelled on an uneven floor or heightened by nearly 3 inches as required. To one end is an exceptionally large drawer finished with turned wooden handles.
The table top is made of lengths of well aged pine which are beautifully dark and full of character.
The table base has been hand painted in black water based paint before being distressed and then waxed for protection.
The table can easily seat six people and would look great in a dining room or kitchen.
CONDITION
This piece is in solid structural condition with many marks of age and use to the top and some areas of veneer loss along the table skirt.
