An imposing large Georgian chest of drawers dating to the early 1800s.
The chest is fitted with an arrangement of two small over three wide drawers which are pine lined and finished with the original large brass drop ring handles set on round backplates. The drawer fronts are finished with shaped bone escutcheons.
The drawers run fairly well for their age and the interiors are in clean condition.
The chest is set on shaped bracket feet and is inlaid with attractive diamond patterned stringing.
The chest has been sympathetically restored in our workshop.
CONDITION
The key is for decoration only
The chest is in solid structural condition with many minor cosmetic marks of age and use.
There are various small losses to the stringing, one bone inlay is a later replacement.
It has been gently restored in our workshop, retaining much it original character.
