This is a useful small bookshelf unit which dates to the early 20th century.
Made of solid oak, with a plywood back, this piece is fairly compact and is ideal for use in an alcove.
The open front is fitted with two adjustable shelves which are set on narrow shaped batons, these can be moved up and down to alter the height of the shelves.
Below this, two small doors offer storage space for small items.
The bookcase is set on bulbous turned feet and the top has a raised back plate.
The bookcase has been newly ebonised in our work shop and the finish 'knocked back' slightly to give it some character.
