This is a handsome Industrial Singer sewing machinists chair dating to the 1930s.
The chair is a classic design with a heavy cast iron base and steam pressed plywood seat and backrest.
The height is adjustable, you simply turn the seat and this raises the central metal rod supporting the seat. At its lowest point the seat measures 45cms high rising to around 55cms when fully wound open.
The back rest can be tilted for comfort.
The seat and backrest are in original condition, the base and metal back support appear to have been repainted at some point in time.
CONDITION
The chair is in solid structural condition.
The seat has various marks of age and use and the metal base has been refinished at some point.
