A characterful carved oak bureau from the Victorian era. The bureau is very solid, heavy and well-made from solid oak and is ornately decorated with scrolled carvings. The front features a traditional fall front which opens to reveal a fitted interior with pigeon holes and a hidden storage compartment with slide top. The base houses four spacious drawers, which are all finished with unusual snake form drop handles. The base is raised on bracket feet. The oak has a raw finish which is very matt and textured.

Condition
In solid condition with many commensurate marks of age and use including old repairs and shrinkage cracks to the wood. One drawer handle is a later replacement and there is no key for the locks.
