This is a useful antique Victorian country pine cupboard which dates to the 19th century.
It is a practical piece which could serve a variety of purposes in any home, offering useful storage space for a kitchen, dining room or lounge.
This lovely rustic cupboard is made from solid pine, it is well proportioned, comparable in size to a large chest of drawers.
The front is fitted with two lockable doors which open to reveal two shelves set onto wooden batons. The interior space could be used for storing pots and pans and food items or perhaps for use as a linen cupboard.
The cupboard is set on a shallow base plinth and the wood has a natural matt looking, stripped wood finish.
CONDITION
This piece has been checked over in our Devon workshop, repairs made as necessary including the addition of a new shelf and the treatment of old old wood worms holes, done as a precaution. The top left hand side is missing a section of edging, this was probably cut away to fit the cupboard into an alcove, we have left this feature as we found it.
The cabinet is in solid structural condition with many cosmetic marks, wood worm holes to the back, etc.
