A handsome European pine knockdown wardrobe dating to the late 19th century.
We have two of these available, both the same externally.
The wardrobe is a double size but not especially large and has the benefit of splitting down into seven pieces consisting of the base section, large back panel, two side panels, narrow door, central door and top plinth, which makes it very easy to fit into a home with limited access.
The front is fitted with a lockable wide door attached to a narrow panel, both can be opened fully to reveal a useful hanging space to the interior. The left hand door is very narrow and locks into place with two internal catches.
The wardrobe interior may have originally been fitted with shelves, there are wooden batons to either side of the interior which could easily be used for shelving. At some point later in its life a modern chrome hanging rail was added to allow clothes to be stored more easily.
The top of the wardrobe is finished with a pointed top plinth and the wood has a waxed finish which has a low sheen.
CONDITION
The wardrobe is in solid structural condition with many small cosmetic marks of age and use including old inactive woodworm holes to the back of the base section and feet.
For its age it really is in lovely clean condition and ready for use.
