Antique Oak Bible Box and stand

This is a characterful old oak bible box and later stand, we are unsure of the age but would estimate that it is a 17th century piece.

This piece has seen a very active life and has immense character, having had various repairs over the years.

The lid is fitted with long iron strap hinges and internally has been braced with two sections of wood, the lock is no longer present.

The front of the box is decorated with a simple stamped pattern and the box is set on a later stand which is fitted with a single drawer.

CONDITION

This piece is in solid structural condition with many cosmetic marks of age and use!

There have been various repairs and modifications over the years and the price reflects this.
