A handsome antique Indian cupboard dating to the 19th century.
The cupboard is fairly compact and heavy and is very well made from Indian hardwood.
It would have once been used as a larder cupboard and would have been set into a wall, hence the colour variations to the top and side panels.
The cupboard front has two panelled doors which feature intricate carvings to the top corners and a wooden toggle and latch to the hold the doors closed. The doors open to reveal two fixed shelves set below an ornate top shelf surmounted with decorative arcading.
The cupboard is set on a simple shaped base plinth and the cupboard retains it original red painted finish to the front and pale pink painted finish to the sides.

The cupboard is in solid structural condition with minor marks of age and use.
