This is a charming small French antique cabinet dating to the early 20th century.
Made of solid pine it is a useful piece which could serve a variety of purposes but is ideally suited to used as a bedside cabinet.
The cabinet is fitted with a single panelled door set under a wide drawer, both finished with ornate metal escutcheons. The key is present and works in both locks although the door lock has a definite knack to it which can be rather fiddly.
To the base the cabinet is set on a plinth with turned legs to the front.
The wood has a natural unwaxed finish, the legs have been left in the original dark stain.
CONDITION
The cabinet is in solid structural condition with various cosmetic marks of age and use.
There are old ink stains to the drawer and cupboard interior.
The door lock has a knack to lock and open it which can be learnt with patience!
