This is a useful large printers chest which dates to the late Victorian era.
Made of mixed woods this piece is solid, heavy and well made, and is perfect for storing architects plans, artists materials or printing equipment.
The chest has a drop down lid at the top which folds up and away to reveal three useful slides inside. Below this the chest is fitted with an arrangement of eight graduated drawers, all finished with recessed brass handles. One drawer is partitioned for use as a printers tray and another has the remnants of partitioning, the other drawers are plain.
The chest is set on a deep base plinth and the wood has a wax polished finish which has a mid sheen.
It has an immense amount of character and was used in a photography shop for many years.
