Antique 19th Century Coach Passenger Foot Warmer

A small 19th century footwarmer once used on long carriage journeys.

The footwarmer is made of veneered wood and has an upholstered lid which opens to reveal an insulated interior and a removable metal water tank. 

We have tested the tank and it was leaking so the outside has been coated in specialist paint to seal any leaks and make it watertight.

It holds water but has rusted on the inside so the water turns brown when emptied out.

It measures

11cms high x 29cms wide x 25cms deep

In well aged condition.
