We had a lazy afternoon at Totnes Cinema, watching the latest film from acclaimed artist and filmmaker Mark Jenkins — Rose of Nevada.
Totnes Cinema is a rare and intimate venue that feels like a secret hideaway. Stepping off the main high street, through a doorway leading to this wonderful place is pure escapism at its best. We love it, the decor and ambiance are unique and the staff compliment the whole experience.
Rose of Nevada did not disappoint, the film is visually arresting and quietly thought-provoking — the kind of film that stays with you long after the credits roll. We are still trying to figure it out!
What a way to spend an afternoon, a reminder of why we love living and working in this corner of Devon. Independent cinema, independent spirit — not unlike the vintage treasures we seek out for the shop.
