A favourite chair, a well-used table or a vintage find can have plenty of life left in it, even when it needs a little attention. At Vintage House, we offer a furniture restoration service to help you care for the pieces you love and enjoy them for years to come.
We can undertake simple French polishing, furniture repairs and refinishing, light upholstery and other restoration work.
French polishing
A beautiful finish can make all the difference to a wooden piece. If you’re interested in French polishing, get in touch to discuss your furniture, its existing finish and the look you’d like to achieve.
Structural repairs
Do you have a broken or damaged item that needs some structural attention? We can repair damaged pieces.
Furniture repairs and refinishing
Furniture doesn’t have to be perfect to be worth keeping. Whether your piece needs a repair or you’d like to explore refinishing it, we can discuss the options with you. The aim is to give it a new lease of life while keeping what makes it special.
Light upholstery
Sometimes a little attention to upholstery can help a much-loved piece feel welcoming again. We also undertake light upholstery work. Tell us about your chair or other furniture and what you would like refreshed, and we can advise whether it’s a project we can take on. For larger re-upholstery jobs we have a trusted upholsterer who we can recommend.
Bespoke items
Get in touch if you have a space that needs a specific piece.
Let’s talk about your furniture
Not sure what your piece needs? You’re welcome to enquire. Send us a few clear photographs, including any areas of damage, along with a short description of the furniture and what you’d like done. This gives us a useful starting point for discussing the work.
From treasured family pieces to vintage discoveries, we’d love to hear what you’re hoping to restore. Get in touch with Vintage House to discuss your project
