Rustic Victorian Pine Larder Boathouse Cupboard
This is a rustic old Victorian pine cupboard which dates to the late 19th century.
Made of solid pine this piece is fairly large and solid, a rustic and well aged piece which looks like it came from an old boatyard.
It could be used for a variety of purposes and would make a good larder or linen cupboard.
The front is fitted with a large panelled door which opens to reveal a red painted interior fitted with two fixed shelves. One shelf has some graffiti, a child's name drawn in pencil. The door is fitted with an antique white ceramic handle and an old lock, sadly the key shown is purely decorative, the door is held closed with a metal toggle to the top.
The pine has a darkly waxed finish which is quite matt.
CONDITION
This piece is generally in good structural condition with many cosmetic marks of age and use.
The plinth around the base is a later replacement. There are two holes cut into the wood on either side panel and the top of the cupboard has step in the wood to the right hand side.
There is evidence of old woodworm to the base which has been treated.
