Oak Campaign Chest of Drawers in two parts by F Boswell

A superb antique oak campaign chest dating to the 19th century.
Made from solid oak the chest is fairly heavy and very well made and splits into two sections which screw together from inside with the use of brass pegs.
Each side is constructed from three panels of oak and finished with aged brass corners, raised brass escutcheons and recessed brass handles.
The chest is set on removable turned feet which are stamped with the makers name of F. Boswell.
A quality piece of antique military furniture.

105.5cms high x 91cms wide x 45cms deep

The chest is generally in good structural condition with various cosmetic marks of age and use, the top has a ring mark and some other marks.
One of the locks and escutcheons has been replaced, the key has been lost somewhere in time.
There is some slight bowing to the panels on the top.
